The mint plant

I promised to show what our mint plant looks like.
We got a mint plant from a lady on La Gomera ( our neighbor island) and Clas told me to not be involved in taking care of it when all our plants and flowers always die in my care.
We have to buy new flowers for the balcony every sixth month!

After a couple of months in Clas' care the plant looked terrible and he cut it away saying it's no idea to try to get it growing anymore. He also failed!
But then I started giving it water even when the pot was empty and after a while we could see small leaves start coming up.

Our friends Mick and Frances also got a plant on La Gomera and you can see how their look on the other photo.
It seams like there is a better climate for it in England! *smile*
Or are we really so bad in taking care of plants?
I am quite pride anyhow when it's still alive after four months!
