The questions of the day

Oh, I am so angry!
They have found snakes in the nature on Gran Canaria. (our neighbor island)
Somebody has let them out even when it's forbidden! Nobody knows why.
It's not only one or two snakes! They are dealing with a breeding population and they are being found in houses, gardens and outbuildings and even up in trees!

The canary islands have always been like paradises where you can't find any dangerous animals in the nature, but not anymore! How can anybody be so stupid!

Here on Tenerife we have only got rabbits, lizards and a few goats in the nature so far.
That's what we think, but you never know! There are nuts everywhere!

I am very scared of snakes and wish it would be forbidden to bring them to Tenerife.
Why can't people just have cute house pets? And why do they allow dangerous animals in the zoos on the islands when there is a possibility they are going to escape?

They'll do something about it on Gran Canaria if it starts hitting their tourism Susanne.

Are they poisonous? If someone got bitten by one and it hit the press in the UK, Gran Canaria's big tourism market...

Hi tribune,
Yes of course they are trying to get it under control. But the question is do they find them all? Maybe there are always going to be snakes on Gran Canaria now?
I have been searching on Google to find out how poisonous they are but nobody say anything about it.
Anybody know what type of snake is on the photo? Is it poisonous?
